Chapter Two-Only the Beginning

Autor sat at the piano; his fingers moving across the keys
expertly. His eyes closed as he focused on the tune, not
making a single mistake. The music soothing and beautiful to
everyone who heard it.

However, just as he reached the chorus the door was slammed open
and broke the peace of the music. Autor opened his mouth to scream
when he realized it was only Fakir. He fixed his glasses as he
glared at the writer.

"Not only are you late but you also interrupted my masterpiece!"

"Well, I'm here now so," Fakir started as he walked over and sat
in one of the chairs by the window. "Just tell me what the hell
is going on."

Autor noted all the signs with the writer. He was tense and
frustrated, which could only mean one thing. "Did something happen
between you and Ahiru?"

And just as he expected, Fakir clenched his fist. That was when Autor
noticed the blood dripping from his knuckles.

"Can you just hurry up and explain to me what's going on before I
decide to just walk out of here!?" Fakir threw Autor one of the deadliest
glares Autor had ever seen Fakir give.

"Fine." Autor sat next to Fakir. For a small eternity neither said any-
thing. "As you know, you have the power to spin stories into reality."

"Yeah?"

"And you are now the writer of Kinkan's story as well."

"What does that have to do with anything?!" Fakir wasn't in the mood
for this conversation. 'Is Autor still upset that he can't spin
stories like Drosselmyer?'

"I think your dream is a warning."

Fakir shot to his feet and started for the door. "Like I hadn't already
figured that out!" He threw open the door.

"Someone is going to interfere with your story!" Autor shouted after him. Fakir
hesitated but kept going until; "And they are probably after Ahiru."

Fakir froze mid-step at her name. He whirled around so fast that he
almost fell over. "What?"

For the rest of the day Ahiru didn't see Fakir, not that she really
wanted to at the moment. He was really beginning to scare her. What could
be so bad that he would actually yell at her like that?

She was currently on her way home with Lillie and Pique at her side.
They were talking about something but Ahiru was too distracted to
really pay the any mind.

'Could something really be going on that has Fakir so worried?'

"Ahiru?" she looked up to find Pique and Lillie right in front of her.

"Um... yes?" she asked.

"What's bothering you so much?" Pique asked in genuine concern.

Ahiru opened her mouth to answer but Lillie grabbed her in a death
hug before she could. "Oh Ahiru. Did you confess your love to Fakir
but he rejected you and now you're slipping into a deep despair
that we will never be able to get you out of it."

"No!" Ahiru hastily protested. "I just have a lot on my mind."

"Oh Ahiru, you don't have to lie to us!" Lillie pushed. She hugged
Ahiru so tight that when she released the said girl she fell to the
ground in pain. "So you were in pain."

Pique crossed her arms, "You did that."

"Liar."

Ahiru sat up and rubbed her neck to easy the pain away. When she
went to get up she got a certain chill and uneasy feeling. She
glanced back in the direction of the school. "Fakir..." she
whispered.

Before they could even process what was happening Ahiru ran off
leaving her friends in the dust. They blinked in confusion.

"Where's she going?" Pique asked.

"I dunno?" Lillie answered as they watched their friend's dis-
appearing form.

Ahiru ran as fast as she could, that eery feeling not leaving her.

'Fakir!'

Fakir and Autor just finished packing up their belongings.

The bespectacled boy glanced at the writer. "Are you sure it was
wise to allow the girl to walk home alone."

Fakir sighed, "Even Ahiru knows how to get home safely."

Despite his words Fakir couldn't shake this terrible fear that had
him firmly in it's relentless grasp.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Ahiru ran, sweating beading her forehead and neck as she ran. Her
breathing heavy as she struggled to keep going.

With every step that eery feeling grew stronger. And it was
leaving a ball of dread in the pit of her stomach.

'Fakir!' she thought desperately.

When she turned the corner to go to the school she felt something
right behind her.

She stopped and slowly turned around. A strange shadowed figure
stood behind her. Despite how light it was she couldn't tell who
it was.

The figure raised it's hand and that's when Ahiru saw the blade
he was holding. Her ocean blue eyes widened in absolute terror.
Then the blade dropped towards her and she left out a bone chill-
ing scream that echoed through the entire town.

Both Fakir and Autor stopped dead in their tracks when they heard
the scream.

Fakir felt as if his heart and soul had been torn from within him.
That scream was the one sound he never wanted to hear. It scared him
in a way nothing else could.

Almost as if of their own free will, his legs began to slam against
the cobblestone streets as he ran. Nothing in his mind but her name.

"AHIRU!!!!!!!!!"
Here is the second chapter. It is a little rushed and I'm not sure if it is as good as the first but anyways;

the events are starting to unfold. What will happen and in the next chapter Mytho and Rue will make their appearances.
